Professionalism is an important prerequisite for an application. We therefore require proof that every applicant wishing to give a live performance has made at least one public appearance/given one public performance of the production which they present in their application.
Selection
An international (theatre and music) committee is responsible for the final selection of artists and for stage allocation. Only complete applications which meet all requirements can be taken into consideration by the AKs. There is also a waiting list for any places which might become available. Any decision made by the AKs is final and binding.
The order of live stage appearances is laid down by the Freiburg Wirtschaft Touristik und Messe GmbH & Co. KG (FWTM) after consultation with the technical support staff.
Conditions applying to technical equipment
Your production must be practicable for the stages which are available in the theatres and the music hall. Read the information about the technical equipment for the stages: theatre 1, theatre 2 and music hall. Live performances in the street theatre area must fit into the space designated in the central foyer. You can find information about the technical equipment for the street theatre area here: Stage Street Theatre Area
The technical equipment available for street theatre area could be extended if it does not meet your technical requirements. The artist is liable for any additional costs. If the technical requirements cannot be met, the FWTM reserves the right to exclude an artist, even after this artist has been selected.
