The special exhibitions of the 24 IKF 2012:
FiL: Comic-Exhibition
Born in Berlin on 1 September 1966 as
Philip Tägert, the comic illustrator Fil was already producing drawings for the
city magazine " zitty" by the time he was 14, under the name "Phil". His pictures
and stories have been influenced by the milieu of the housing estates in the
Märkisches Viertel, a district in the north of Berlin. This is where he grew up, and was a punk
at one time - or what one considers punk - and played in a band. He started
training as an artist but never completed his studies.
His most famous comic figures are the two pigs "Didi and Stulle" which appear in dozens of comics and, for the last 24 years, as a one-pager in "zitty". Since last year, his comic strips have also been appearing every month in the Kölner StadtRevue, the Stuttgarter Lift, the Leipziger Kreuzer, and also as books published by the publishing company Verlag Reprodukt. The Swiss publishers »Kein & Aber« have recently published a new interpretation of Wilhelm Busch’s Struwwelpeter, a co-edition by FIL and his colleague ATAK.
La Cabane de Jardin - The summer house
A Theatre-Carousel for children from 6 months to 6 years
Presented by the Théâtre de la Toupine
- ecologial
- powered by parents
- made of leather, wood, stone and driftwood
The gardener of the Théâtre de la Toupine accompanies the 12 children on board the "summer house ". There they discover some other "house residents" who have already settled in: ladybirds, sacks of potatoes, dungarees, pumpkins, water lilies, desert jerboas, flower pots and "sunflower sniffers"…
... the carousel starts to turn and the parents are also taken along on the dream-garden-journey.
In the carousel trilogy from the house of Toupine there are two more carousels: "Bestiaire Alpin - alpine wildlife carousel" and "Un Vache de Manège - a cow carousel".
Both have been enjoyed and admired at the IKF in previous years. Come and enjoy the third fantastic production of the Théâtre de la Toupine at the 24th IKF.
Light graffiti
Light graffiti is a combination of photography
and creative light art in perfect symbiosis. Symbols, characters, images or
dreams are painted in space with a source of light and captured by a camera by
means of time exposure. Individual light works of art are created in this way,
personal and one of a kind - each one unique!
Become a light artist yourself and create your own works of art or let one of our light graffiti artists put you in the spotlight. Whether you are alone or with a group, it is really simple and good fun. Within 20 seconds, the results are visible and can be printed out as a photo, if you wish.
A once in a lifetime chance to set your ideas and dreams aglow. On the Lichtgraffiti stand in the central foyer opposite the entrance to Theatre 1!
We are looking forward to many creative experiences and results!

amorphia-xray
The
visual presence of the amorphia array is impressive! See for yourself at the
24th IKF when you "encounter" these optically moving and richly coloured
sculptures on your way into Theatre 1. They will carry you away into another
world!
Amorphia is excitingly relaxed, connotative, dreamlike and always mystical. Slow-motion sculptures with an X-ray effect. The observer can see what is evolving deep inside the amorphia cubes. At first they appear two-dimensional in black and white, then three-dimensional and coloured! From abstract, distorted figures emerge real figures, out of a shimmer appear bodies. Blurred forms which appear to dissolve into nothing, but then reappear before the eyes of the fascinated observer. Movingly aesthetic, an asset for any event!
Marco Assmann's Flea Circus
We are
delighted to have been able to lure Marco Assmann and his flea circus back to Freiburg.
Come right in and see the "smallest great show in the world".
The circus ring fits into a suitcase and the performances take place either in a nostalgic circus caravan, in a small tent or in some other appropriate surroundings. Marco Assmann is the ringmaster of the one-and-only travelling flea circus in Europe.
The stars
of the "smallest great show in the world" are really tiny. The fleas
measure 1.5 to 2 millimetres - when they are fully grown.
"A flea can pull many times more than its own weight", says Marco Assmann about the performance of his tiny artists.
At the start of the show, the ringmaster presents an extremely fine gold wire to us which he carefully places around the necks of his fleas.
At the
other end of the wire hangs a piece of filigree work - a tiny coach!
And off we go!
Further information is available on www.floh-circus.de.
Marco Assmann and his flea circus will be appearing in the street theatre area in the central foyer of the trade fair.
Tree catalan festivals

Fira Tàrrega is an international market for the performing arts that takes place annually in Tàrrega during the second weekend of September. Founded in
1981, it is a great showcase for current performing arts with a special focus on street and theatrical performances as well as unusual visual formats. As a meeting point and international forum for discussion, the main objective of Fira Tàrrega is to create an impact on the market for the performing arts, thereby opening the door for the internationalization of Catalan companies.
Other more specific objectives are the study and stimulation of outdoor theatre, the fostering of creativity among emerging artists, and the promotion of training with
a focus on artistic creativity and cultural management as well as the creation of strategic alliances for developing street theatre circuits or transnational productions.
Fira Mediterrània de Manresa
The Fira Mediterrània of Manresa, which is held 55 km from Barcelona (Catalonia/Spain), is an interdisciplinary trade fair for new artistic creations inspired by Mediterranean cultural traditions and roots. The 15th event will be held from 8th to 11th November 2012. Its main aim is to help those artists selected to perform at the event to secure contracts with the companies attending the fair. In 2011, 1250 delegates from 28 countries attended the event. About 121 groups and companies together with 270 shows and other events were involved in the Mediterrània Professional Meeting.
According to the impact study of the culture industry carried out by the University of Deusto, the Fira generated a total of 1,650 contracts. These contracts generated an economic impact of 9 million euros with each euro invested producing a return of seven euros for the town of Manresa and the region.
MERCAT DE MÚSICA VIVA DE VIC

The programme features a range of styles and is aimed at a wide audience. Stages located all around the city, some offering free concerts, others not, and four days of live music transform the city of Vic into the centre of the country’s musical and cultural activity.
An integral part of the Mercat de Música Viva de Vic is the MVLAB event, a meeting point for artistic directors, festivals, institutions, private companies, promoters, agencies, labels and other professionals involved in the music industry. The main objectives are to facilitate business development, to exchange experiences and know-how, to generate business and make a contribution towards innovation and professional development within the sector.
