Zweitastengesellschaft — Schwarz sehen? Weiß nicht.
In an age when cabaret has offered no solutions for a long time, when wrong is right and right is irrelevant, when we nail charity to the wall in the shape of a cross while the good people, and the bad and the angry ones are the loudest – in these times, Peter Fischer’s “Zweitastengesellschaft” is one thing above all: a plea for the middle way. For gentleness. For compromise. But please, damn it! Not the wrong ones. You idiots. The award-winning music cabaret artist from Munich (German Song Contest Troubadour, Kabarettpreis Rostocker Koggenzieher Cabaret Award, to name but a few) combines virtuoso piano melodies with social criticism and “turns into a storyteller at the same time, he sets neither traps nor hidden double meanings” (Ostsee-Zeitung). At times thoughtful, at others “totally bizarre and disrespectful – but really funny” (SZ).
