Ganna Gryniva is an active member of the jazz scene in Germany and Europe.
She is a singer, composer and pianist and has had the opportunity to present her music to a national and international audience.
In searching for her own voice in contemporary music, she is active as a bandleader, side-woman, interdisciplinary performance and free improvisation artist.
Ganna Gryniva appears regularly with various ensembles, including her Ukrainian Ethno-Jazz quintet GANNA and the free-improv duo JOGA, as well as her solo performances with loop station and effects.
In October 2018 the ensemble GANNA won the Newcomer of the Year prize at the Jazzmeile Thüringen. One of their specialities is to take the words of old folk songs and write new music for them, as in the song “Witer” on their album „DykyiLys“.
