The Cologne band Lou’s THE COOL CATS is a high-class retro pop & swing band with three strong front women, Lou Goldstein, Julie van Hoeven and Peggy Sugarhill, who have been on stage since they were children and are totally professional in their trade. Under the banner of “music from the 20th to the 20th” they interweave music from the 20s to the 60s with current chart hits such as Rihanna‘s “Umbrella”, Britney Spears’ “Toxic” and “Aeroplane” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, which the ladies dress up in completely different ways as swing, rockabilly or Motown – and “Bei mir Bistu shein” by the Andrews Sisters is skilfully rapped. With their energetic cross of vintage, modern and refreshingly humorous introductions, Lou’s THE COOL CATS bring any concert hall to retro-fever pitch.
