“Maier-Hauff//DeRungs” unites the creative energies of Julian Maier-Hauff and Lukas DeRungs. The duo blends jazz, improvisation, electronica, and sound design into a vibrant sonic laboratory. Maier-Hauff, known for his intuitive musicianship and performances with among others Alice Merton, Mine, and Romare, moves effortlessly between synthesizer, drum machine, and different brass instruments. DeRungs, an award-winning pianist and composer (State Jazz Award Baden-Württemberg, German Jazz Prize 2023), enriches the project with his refined sense of melody and harmony. Together, they create a dynamic fusion of analog and digital sound worlds — driven by spontaneity, interaction, and artistic freedom — a journey through sonic landscapes where emotion meets innovation.
