...get to the trade fair grounds in comfort and quickly find the right accommodation: We have compiled the most important transport connections and tips on the Black Forest metropolis for you. Freiburg's central location in the border triangle of Germany, France and Switzerland as well as a well-developed infrastructure mean short distances for participants and visitors and thus more time at the trade fair. Messe Freiburg can be reached quickly and easily from all directions and by all means of transport. In the interest of the environment, we ask you to use public transport for your visit.

Within Freiburg, you can take tram line 4 in the direction of "Messe" or bus line 22 to the "Messe Freiburg" stop. From there it is only a short walk to the exhibition grounds.

Freiburg is very conveniently located on the ICE/IC route Frankfurt - Karlsruhe - Freiburg - Basel and can therefore be reached quickly. With the Deutsche Bahn event ticket, you also travel at preferential prices and with 100% green electricity.

Loss of parking ticket

In case of loss of a parking ticket, a replacement ticket for 10,- Euro has to be taken at the pay station.

No matter from which direction you arrive in Freiburg - Messe Freiburg is easy to find. Follow the signs "Messe" on the B31 or the access roads of the motorway. We recommend Hermann-Mitsch-Straße 3 in Freiburg as the address for your navigation system.

Of course, you will find sufficient (disabled) parking spaces as well as e-charging stations. The parking fee is 5,- Euro/day.

Notes on payment

The parking fee can be paid at any time. To avoid waiting at the pay station, the daily fee can be paid directly after arrival. From 4 a.m. the parking fee is due again. Payment by credit card, EC card or cash is possible at the parking machines.

Pick-up / arrival of visitors

Parking on the exhibition grounds is free of charge for the first 30 minutes. Exit without payment or validation at the pay station is possible during this period. 

As a visitor to Messe Freiburg, you are allowed to stay overnight at the trade fair car park. There is no infrastructure available.

The regular parking fee is 4 euros/day. If a match is taking place in the Europa-Park Stadium at the same time as the trade fair, the fee is 10 euros/day. In this case, you can get a discount on your parking ticket at the entrance or the ticket office. Please report to the parking service upon entry.

Alternatively, you will find the Freiburg camper van parking area in the direct vicinity of the trade fair. This has electricity and water connections. 

Information & booking

Cover long distances comfortably by plane. EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg is just approx. one hour away from Freiburg and accommodates both continental and intercontinental flights. You can get to the airport in 50 minutes from Hauptbahnhof Freiburg (Freiburg Central Station). The airport shuttle runs every hour.

Participants from EU countries do not require a visa to enter Germany. Participants from all other countries require a visa to stay in Germany.
