... – prize awarded by the Internationale Kulturbörse Freiburg – has become a hallmark of the trade fair since it was first presented in 2008.
It is awarded in the categories performing arts, street theatre and music. The winners are chosen during the IKF by the audience of industry professionals from a shortlist of four artists per category. Nominations are carried out prior to this by the panel of experts in each category.
As well as the FREIBURGER LEITER (Freiburg Ladder) prize sculpture – symbolising the rise to success – the award winners receive prize money in the amount of € 1,000 and an invitation to the following IKF and the Schweizer Künstlerbörse in Thun.
