Once a year, the cultural and events scene gathers at the Freiburg International Culture Fair to stay informed, exchange ideas, network—and above all, to discover new artists! 

While around 300 exhibitors showcase the latest offerings of the culture and events industry in the exhibition hall, artists have access to several live stages where they can pique the curiosity of the 3,000 trade visitors with 15-minute performances highlighting their artistic projects! 
Juries that change annually select the performing artists exclusively from the submitted applications.

Why a live performance is worthwhile:

• The IKF is a trade fair, not a festival
• the audience consists not of “ordinary spectators,” but of professional event organizers
• At the IKF, the professional audience specifically seeks out artists, ensembles, and productions for their stages, festivals, and corporate events, and books artists and ensembles both directly on-site and in the follow-up to the fair.

Starting this year, you can apply as a newcomer in all three categories.

On Monday, January 25, 2027, artists who have never performed at the IKF before—whether they are working on their first solo program, want to try their hand at performing, or have written their first original songs—now have the opportunity to showcase their talent in 5-minute slots on one of our stages in front of a professional audience at the Internationale Kulturbörse Freiburg.

The goal is to pique the organizers’ curiosity and convince them of your artistic talent.
