What is green, magnificent, and guaranteed to be elegant? The ZUCCHINI SISTAZ, of course! As one of the few all-female groups, the trio is one of the most extraordinary musical acts in the country. Inspired by the light music of the 1920s to 1950s, the three musicians have established a brand for modern acoustic retro pop. In their programs, they present musical gems from past decades—fresh, creative, and surprisingly reinterpreted—as well as their own songs, which address contemporary issues with subtle humor and intelligent lyrics. Virtuoso vocal harmonies, sophisticated instrumental artistry, tongue-in-cheek self-irony, lots of joie de vivre, and a pinch of green make for an entertaining evening in an "elegant somewhere" between musical revue, salon orchestra, jazz club, and living room session.
