At the heart of the IKF is the showcase programme, in which a wide variety of artists / ensembles provide an insight into their current productions in 20 minutes or 30 minutes (bands on the music stage). Presented in three categories - performing arts, music & theatre in public space - on several stages.
There is also a varied supporting programme: unusual productions and performance forms or premieres can be discovered under the heading ‘Spotlights’. We have (interactive) installations and exhibitions ready for you as ‘Installations’.
Anyone who is also interested in other topics relating to the culture and event industry is cordially invited to take part in the talks & workshops, short cuts, speedatings and much more in the ‘Talks & Workshops’ programme.

ALLONS ENFANTS DE LA MUSIQUE – FR/DE Friendship Edition
On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Mensabar Freiburg invites you to a special Franco-German concert evening as part of the International Culture Exchange Freiburg (IKF). Presented by Diffusion Prod, Europop, and Radio WNE in partnership with IKF / Messe Freiburg, Art Rhéna, and Le Noumatrouff (Mulhouse), the evening will be dedicated to cross-border collaboration.
The focus will be on FINTA artists (women, inter, non-binary, trans, agender) from the current French and German music scene. Four live acts will move between electro, pop, indie, and experimental soundscapes, providing insight into a committed, diverse, and forward-looking scene in the Upper Rhine region.
The event is part of the MOBILIPOP / FINTA CLUB program and the German-French Friendship Days, bringing together artists from Freiburg, Strasbourg, Mulhouse, and international IKF trade visitors.

Invitation to a poetry slam: Words that touch the heart!
On January 27, 2026, the cultural space in Freiburg will be transformed into a stage for powerful texts, big emotions, and rousing performances. Starting at 8:00 p.m., talented poets will present their best texts and take the audience on a journey through personal stories, social issues, and pointed observations.
The poetry slam is much more than a competition: it is a space for creative diversity and authentic expression. Each performance is unique—sometimes thoughtful, sometimes humorous, always direct and lively.
A special highlight: the audience decides. With applause and reactions, the audience determines who will take home the title of poetry slam winner at the end of the evening.
Look forward to an inspiring evening full of language, creativity, and community. Whether you're a slam connoisseur or a newcomer, everyone is welcome.
