Árstíðir in concert

Just like Icelandic culture itself, Árstíðir’s music lives between history and modernity. Their songs draw on a thousand years of tradition and weave it together with the sounds of our time.Árstíðir have developed a close relationship with German audiences since their first appearance at Bardentreffen in Nuremberg in 2011, and have toured Germany annually ever since.

Internationally, Árstíðir have toured in more than 30 countries across three continents, and gained global attention with a viral YouTube performance of an 800-year-old Icelandic hymn, sung spontaneously in a train station in Wuppertal.The band’s signature elements are rich vocal harmonies and the use of strings in their arrangements.

This year, Árstíðir will release their 10th studio album and tour Germany in November and December with their concept tour Vetrarsól.
