Mer Diga Men

With many old pieces from legends like Django Reinhardt and our new compositions, the current album “Mer Diga Men” is a homage to music, friends, family and the enduring love that builds bridges from the past to the present. The heart core of their album is the composition “Mer Diga Men” from the gypsy Bobby. Translated from the Romanes language, “Mer Diga Men” means: “We’ll meet again”. The unmistakable sound of Die Drahtzieher artfully weaves together the influences of three well-traveled gypsy jazz musicians from southern Germany. Their numerous engagements with established greats of the genre do justice to the conspiratorial band name and give the trio the sovereignty to tastefully introduce new timbres and styles into the genre.
