Songbooks

Songbooks brings together WÖR and Kongero in a lively mix of voices and instruments. WÖR reinterprets 18th-century manuscripts from the Flemish region of Belgium and the Netherlands with imaginative arrangements, while Kongero presents bold, expressive Swedish folk'appella. Their live show weaves together stories, songs, and melodies from Belgian and Swedish traditions. The result is lively, sincere, warm, and groovy. Each arrangement gives space to every voice and instrument, allowing the music to breathe and each performer to shine, while WÖR and Kongero together create a captivating soundscape. This collaboration was nominated for Best Live Band at the 2025 Flanders Folk Awards. Their live album will be released on January 23, 2026.
