Uusikuu, led by the Finnish world music singer Laura Ryhänen, invite you to a wild mix of musical treats under the northern lights! It’s all about exuberant joie de vivre, captivating rhythms, criminal passion, and Nordic romance. Finland was ranked as the world's happiest country for the eighth successive year. But what is Finnish happiness, onni? Cheerfulness, subtle humor, quirky anecdotes — and yes, sweet melancholy is part of it, too. Uusikuu has performed at numerous concerts and festivals in Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, and Finland, and has been part of orchestral, film, and theater productions. Their new album "Piknik" reached the Top 20 of the World Music Charts Europe in March 2025 and was nominated for the Longlist 2/2025 of the German Record Critics’ Award (World Music category).
